Sound familiar?

Wonderful at home. A nightmare on the leash.

Most people who call have already tried a class, a YouTube channel or a "balanced" trainer with a tool they didn't like. Some have been told to rehome the dog. Some have quietly stopped walking at the hour the other dogs come out.

  • Your dog has never bitten anyone, and you're terrified of the day that changes.
  • The rescue said "a little reactive". It's more than a little.
  • People cross the street when they see the breed, and you've started to feel judged before your dog does anything.
  • You don't want a shortcut. You want to feel confident on the end of the leash again.
"They want a magic pill. They want confidence over their pet's reactivity."
Phillip, on what people ask for. There is no pill. There is a plan.

What's different

Four things you won't find on most trainers' websites around here.

Big dogs

Pit bulls, shepherds, Malinois. The dogs other trainers quietly turn away.

A 70-pound dog that lunges is a different problem from a 15-pound dog that lunges, and it deserves a trainer who isn't nervous around it. Phillip's own dog is a pit bull. Look at the photos.

Rescue first

Adopted in the last six months? Your assessment visit is free.

Most behavior problems in adopted dogs show up in the first few weeks, right when people are most tempted to give up. That's the moment to get help, so it costs nothing.

Vet before leash

We ask about your vet before we ask about your leash.

Pain, thyroid, gut trouble and medication can all look like a training problem. Phillip asks the health questions first and will send you to your vet when that's the honest answer.

My experience with Lucky's K9 Solutions was outstanding. Their commitment to the breed, professionalism, consistency, and genuine care created a lasting foundation for my pitbull. They taught us how to build a lasting, stronger bond with our dog, Sakka! Years later, we're still not just clients; we're furry family forever.

Phillip and Lucky

A rescue volunteer with a pit bull, not a franchise with a kennel.

Phillip has spent five years working with large and reactive breeds, first around Atlanta and now in Mooresville, and most of that time has involved a rescue shirt. Lucky is his own dog. The trail selfies aren't marketing; that's just where they are on a Saturday.

"With 5 years of experience in canine training, I specialize in fear-free and balanced training methods tailored to each dog's unique needs. My goal is to build confidence, strengthen the bond between dogs and their owners, and create lasting, positive behavior through clear communication, patience, and consistency."

Service area

Based in Mooresville. Drives the I-77 corridor from Statesville down to Huntersville.

In-home means in your home, whichever side of the lake you're on. Sessions also happen on your street, at a trailhead or on a patio when that's where the problem lives. There's no office to visit, which is the point.

Straight answers

Questions people ask before they call

Do you come to my house?

Yes. Every assessment and every private lesson is in your home or at the place the problem happens (your street, a trailhead, a patio). There is no facility, no board-and-train and no group class. Phillip drives to you across Mooresville, Statesville, Davidson, Cornelius and Huntersville.

What does it cost?

The first phone call is free. The Initial Assessment Visit is $125 for 45 minutes, and it's free if you adopted your dog in the last six months. Private lessons are $175 for 75 minutes. Community Outings are free. Everything is on the pricing page; there are no packages to prepay.

My dog is reactive on the leash. Is that something you handle?

It's most of what Phillip does. Leash reactivity in large dogs (lunging, barking, pulling toward or away from other dogs and people) is the main reason people call. The work starts with distance and management, then builds new responses in the exact places the dog struggles.

What training methods do you use?

Phillip uses fear-free, reward-based training tailored to the dog. He starts with the dog's health and stress level, uses food, play and clear communication, and builds a plan around what your dog can actually do today. On the call he'll talk you through exactly what a session looks like so there are no surprises.

Why do you ask about my vet?

Because pain, thyroid problems, gut issues and some medications can look exactly like a training problem. Phillip asks about your dog's health history on the first call and in the assessment. When the honest answer is 'see your vet first', that's what he'll tell you. He doesn't diagnose; he just doesn't ignore it.

Tell Phillip about your dog. He'll tell you honestly whether in-home training is the right next step, and what it would cost. No pitch, no pressure.
